Michigan - summer 05

I got to hang out with Nathania and her friends whilst in Michigan for Lisa and Adam's wedding .I tried knee-boarding. It was pretty scary and painful on the knees, but a whole bunch of fun! Nathania and Kara did the whole tubing thing while I tried out driving the speed boat!

Lisa and Adam's Wedding July 05

Lisa and Adam are friend's of James and I - they got married last year and I had the wonderful opportunity to go to their wedding in Michigin! They got married in a field (her parents own a farm) and it was REALLY muggy and warm. A lot different to Alaskan summers! It was a fabulous wedding though!

Mc Hugh Creek - Winter 05/06

Some scenes from Mc Hugh Creek, which is about 30 mins drive away. The snow was really deep so I got very snowy and wet. We hiked off the path a bit to get to a good photo spot (not recommended but never mind eh?)...it was very steep so on the way back down I sat and slid most of the way. Good fun except for a wet bum all the way home...

Near Point - Winter 05/06

Here we are again...this time trying out snow shoeing...which was great fun. We went up Near Point, one of the local mountains, on a spectacular January day. It was freeeeeeeezing but the scenery was simply amazing and we got a great view of Anchorage!

Alyeska - winter 05/06

Nathania and I on one of our regular jaunts into the Alaskan wilderness... This was after the first big dump of snow at Alyeska (about an hour out of Anchorage). It was very wet and heavy and snowed all the time we were out. It was pretty cool having snow on my eyelashes....

This is our cat Oreo. He is completely and utterly spoilt....and he knows it...but that's OK as he's just great and provides us with a LOT of entertainment! There will be PLENTY more pictures of him....

Welcome to my blog!

I am very new to all this so it may not always make sense...but I will try and if anything just enjoy the pictures! They are not going to be in date order intially so sorry about that! Oh well!
